Been at Petaluma Hill Stables for 4 years now and is the best place I've found! Training is excellent. Carrie not only teaches you to ride well but how to build a relationship and partnership with your horse. She is very willing to share her knowledge to make you a better horseman too. I've learned so much from her on how to take care of my boy by myself. She is also readily to admit that she doesn't know everything and is consistently learning even though she seems to have an answer for it all and is always right so far! I've found this to be refreshing as so many before have the ' it's my way, or the highway attitude'. The place is super clean and well cared for. Has an incredible stable hand named Pedro that is so good with all the horses. Has a covered arena and a beautiful, large outdoor with great fences. Super turnout for CA standards with many all weather and grassy turnouts. A nice, large round pen and lots of acreage to walk the property. Can't beat the pricing either. I'm at 680 for stall, turnout and blanketing and 45 dollars per lesson. Believe it's 15 dollars more for a stall with run. The great thing is you don't have to be in full training too. You may pay by the lesson. 1/2 and full training also available at very reasonable pricing. This barn has many types of horses and riders and she welcomes all. She even does western! It's been a fun venture at this barn and my horse and I have a wonderful partnership because of it. Thanks Carrie and Petaluma Hill Stables!
